This is part 1 of a 2 part automation that is designed to help keep your contact records clean.
It is a very simple, yet powerful "2nd line of defense" to make sure that each contact who subscribes to your email program is valid, and if they're not, the automation will automatically unsubscribe them.
Why would you want to do this? It's another way to keep your list clean, which is a core component of good deliverability.
Maintaining good deliverability is without a doubt one of the most important factors in creating and maintaining a strong ActiveCampaign account because it will improve your sender reputation and give you a better likelihood of ending up in the end user's inbox.
Further, by keeping your lists clean, you can help to keep your monthly ActiveCampaign costs down, by ensuring you're only contacting those people who are engaged, have valid email addresses, and want to hear from you.
Please note that in order to use this automation you'll need a paid Neverbounce account, in order to utilize their ActiveCampaign automatic sync feature.
You'll also need to import Contact Neverbounce Sync Integration - Part 2
Part 1 will subscribe any new contact to a "Need to Clean List"
Part 2 will unsubscribe emails that Neverbounce believes are poor.
Neverbounce will update each contact with a validation code, and these automations will unsubscribe contacts who we should not be sending to.
Contacts will have one of these tags applied:
Valid
A valid email address has been verified as a real email that is currently accepting mail.
SAFE - These emails exist and have been verified for safe sending.
Invalid
An invalid email address has been verified as a bad recipient address that does not exist or is not accepting mail. Invalid emails will result in a bounce.
DON'T SEND - These emails do not exist and are not safe for sending.
Disposable
Disposable emails are temporary accounts used to avoid using a real personal account during a sign-up process. Common providers of disposable emails include Mailinator, Guerilla Mail, AirMail, and 10 Minute Mail.
DON'T SEND - These emails are fake or temporary emails and are not safe for sending.
Other email codes include Accept All (Unverifiable) and Unknown. However, these codes can vary in how we tackle them so please contact getgetner.com if you'd like advice on how to handle these codes for your particular situation.
