A member of your sales team has a meeting with a lead. How are you following up? Are you waiting for the next scheduled call or are you being proactive with touchpoints, ensuring you’re automating the process and thanking the lead for their time? Spoiler, it should be the latter. This is a great way to follow up on a completed task.

This automation sends a thank you email and creates the next task for the deal owner after a task type of “meeting” is marked complete. Feel free to add more actions to align this even further with your unique sales process.

Here’s how In-Person Meeting Follow-up works:

1. The automation is triggered when a meeting task type is completed. In our example, the task type is called lunch, but use whatever task you have for this.

2. The contact then arrives at a wait step and waits for 30 mins so the reach out feels natural. Feel free to adjust this wait step to what makes sense for your business.

3. The contact comes to a send email step, where they are sent an email thanking them for taking the time to meet with you.

4. The contact arrives at a create task action and the next task for the deal owner is generated. In our example, we use a follow-up call.

5. The automation ends.
