Slack: Automatically send a message when a contact unsubscribes

Have you ever not received a message you were supposed to receive?

It happens all the time. Someone on a membership list accidentally unsubscribes and then doesn't understand why they didn't hear about a special promotion. A beta tester never receives their login credentials because they accidentally opted out of the list they need to be.

This automation uses ActiveCampaign's powerful integration with Slack to let your team know when a contact unsubscribes from a chosen list. You can follow up to ensure the contact made sure to opt-out of the specific messaging or if it was an accident, especially on highly specialized lists like paid membership.

Here's how this automation works:

1. The contact enters the automation when they are subscribed to the list specified in the trigger.
2. A slack message is sent to the channel you specify.

Note: If someone completely opts out of your communication, it's best to respect their wishes.
