When you’re hosting an event, having the date automated in your marketing system can make other automations a breeze. Using ActiveCampaign’s powerful integration with Hopin, we’ve built this automation to automatically add the event date to a date based custom field when a contact signs up.
This automation is triggered when a contact is added to the list generated by Hopin for your upcoming event. They then will have a date based custom field for the event date updated to the date you specify. Before importing, integrate your Hopin and ActiveCampaign accounts.
Here’s how Hopin: Add Event Date To Custom Field works:
1. The automation is triggered when a contact is added to the list generated by Hopin for your upcoming event. This happens when a contact signs up for one of your events.
2. The contact then moves to an update contact step and has the event date field updated to the date you specify.
3. The contact exits the automation.
Note: Because each event in Hopin generates its own unique list in the ActiveCampaign platform, you can use this automation recipe to easily set up the date for any upcoming events you’ll be having. Because of this, you’ll be setting up an automation recipe for each specific event.
