When a contact makes an appointment, what does that mean?
It usually means they are ready to move to the next step in the buying process and your CRM. Either by gathering more information to make an informed decision or perhaps setting a final appointment to go over details and sign the final paperwork. Automate this process by updating the deal's stage when a contact sets an appointment with your team.
The automation is triggered when a custom date field for Appointment Date changes or is generated the first time. The contact's deal is then moved to the stage in your pipeline to denote you have an appointment with them. Before importing this recipe, build out a custom date field for storing appointments.
Here's how this automation works:
1. The contact enters the automation when the custom date field for Appointment Date is updated.
2. The contact then arrives at a Move Deal Stage action and their deal is moved to the appropriate stage in your pipeline.
Note: In our example, we use this automation for the first touch meeting with a contact, so move the deal from their current stage of Consideration to In Contact. Feel free to update the move deal action and add other actions to make this automation your own.
