aiqfome was the first-ever delivery app in Brazil in 2007. The business began providing digital restaurant menus, with the ability to access a range of restaurants using a unique registration on the website. In 2020, it joined the Magalu group, and the two joined forces with the mission of digitizing restaurants within the State of Paraná. aiqfome quickly reached new heights by providing a delivery service that was appealing to both restaurants and the “fominhas” (Brazilian slang that means “hungry”).
The Challenge Of Managing Business Expansion and Email Marketing
During aiqfome’s early years, they used tools such as Mailchimp and RD Station for email marketing and customer experience. Yet, swiftly realized that as a growing company they needed a tool with a better cost-benefit ratio. aiqfome also needed a tool that would help their teams easily streamline email marketing and automate personalized customer experiences for both B2B -and B2C markets.

Using specific data about the user’s city, order history, and transactional email engagement aiqfome found a key optimization opportunity – inactive customer bases. Not segmenting inactive customer bases was having a negative impact on results. This insight came from a meeting with ActiveCampaign’s Customer Enablement Success, Julia Jacques.
ActiveCampaign’s customer experience and email marketing software made growth easy
“In the beginning, we had email open rates that were way below expectations. Based on ActiveCampaign’s recent update to our customer base to consider only users who placed orders in December and January, we were able to achieve an opening rate above the average found in the market”, says Cleyton Olivera, CRM analyst.
Then, Cleyton Olivera set a goal to expand aiqfome’s lead base using ActiveCampaign’s software. “From when I arrived at aiqfome until now, we have already managed to double our lead base.” By working on personalized campaigns for segmented audiences “we were able to notice, in addition to the expansion, the evolution in opening rates and clicks”.
